Now Hiring New Employees
Hello fellow airline directors,
As described in the last update we were working on implementing area IDs, to be able to be switch areas from one country to another over time. It was a huge task since we also needed to update the ids for all the airlines, manufacturers and all other assets that used the country IDs. We're glad this task is finished now.
A good part of the time since the last blog have been used for some maintenance stuff. This mainly includes optimizations of the performance in some different areas, and fixing some minor issues.
We also have been working on two new minor features for the game: we have implemented the possibility of converting a cargo plane into a passenger aircraft. Next, we also made it so that aircraft that served during the second world war cannot be bought from a manufacturer, but rather as second hand aircraft only. They become available in great numbers on the second hand market after the war.
One of the things which have never been fully implemented for TAPv2 is the way employees are handled. We have now started development on task. The first subtask we are looking into, is the creation of other types of training facilities like facilities for mechanics and cabin crew. After that we will also look at putting pilots to work. Up until now, pilots had no use in the game. We still have a lot of work on the employee system, but it's a good start.
Lastly, we've made a lot of progress on the new website. We believe we will launch the website within the next two weeks. All that's left to do is create a couple of tutorials and make sure the website is compatible to various screen widths.
